My confusion of Life

Not feeling good recently, everything cross on my mind but left nothing but more confuse, try to be calm down by reading this poem...does it work?? Dunno...

On Marriage

 Kahlil Gibran

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.

You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.

Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.

But let there be spaces in your togetherness,

And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:

Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.

Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf

Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,

Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.

For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.

And stand together yet not too near together:

For the pillars of the temple stand apart,

And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.

THINGS TO VALUE

Ehm...just wondering, which one I'll safe first due to emergency situation, Gaby must be the First, my husband, my assistances, and last must be the Important document.

THINGS OF VALUE

You've heard the question asked, "If your home were on fire, what you try to save?" Most people answer that they would rescue people and pets and as many photographs and memories as possible.

The question we faced was similar. We were forced to consider, "If we have to evacuate our home, what should we take with us?" Or, put another way, which of our possessions could we live without?

Our area was just a few miles from largest wildfire in Colorado's history. We were on "evacuation alert." If we got the call to evacuate, we would have to grab whatever we could save and leave immediately.

We packed suitcases with a few clothes and toiletries and set them by the door. Though these things were not valuable, time was. We moved the computers ... I made a living with my computer. We cleared out books we sold from our home office. Those books represented our livelihood. We packed financial records - who wants to hassle with the government for years over missing documents?

Now, what else? We snatched family pictures from the walls and packed scrapbooks in boxes - all sentimental objects that could not be replaced.

Then we took a hard look at all that remained. There was a lamp that belonged to my great grandmother. It was a connection to my family.

And there was the piano my wife Bev learned to play when she was a little girl. Not of great value in itself, but another family connection.

We would be leaving a hutch that belonged to her grandmother and handmade quilts and gifts from dear friends and family. All represented connections to people and memories we value, but if we were to be evacuated immediately, we would have no way to move these items.

I've never been much attached to things, but the thought of leaving behind something passed down through our families or handmade for us by dear friends saddened me deeply. It's about what they represented -- family and love. Each had a story to tell, and some of them spoke in the voices of our parents and grandparents and a few friends as close to us as family.

The fire never reached our home. We were lucky. And though I felt grateful that all was spared, I realized also just how fortunate I had been in another way. I saw just how rich my life had been. Not in things I owned, but in love I've known.

Someone wisely said, "There are people so poor that the only thing they have is money." And now I knew. I was indeed rich. I was rich in friends and family. Rich in memories. Rich in everything that really matters.

I wonder if there is any other kind of wealth worth seeking.

Dear Husband

Since we have a bad arguing the night before, I regret it all this morning, all the negative things I've said before, really didn't mean it.
When we woke up this morning, everything seems so fine, you're still smile and joking me, but deep down in my heart I still feel so uncomfortable with this regret.
Through this MP, wanna tell you I'm sorry... and I love you hunny...

Sweetheart...
if roses could speak
the words of my heart...

I would send you the yellow roses..
for being there beside me

The Pink blossoms
to bring happiness in my life

The Red Roses to say...
you'll always there in my heart
I Love You..

A TRICK

A TRICK

Author Unknown

A young man, a student in one of our universities, was one day taking a walk with a professor, who was commonly called the students' friend, from his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.

As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which they supposed to belong to a poor man who was employed in a field close by, and who had nearly finished his day's work.

The student turned to the professor, saying: "Let us play the man a trick: we will hide his shoes, and conceal ourselves behind those bushes, and wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them."

"My young friend," answered the professor, "we should never amuse ourselves at the expense of the poor. But you are rich, and may give yourself a much greater pleasure by means of the poor man. Put a coin into each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how the discovery affects him."

The student did so, and they both placed themselves behind the bushes close by.

The poor man soon finished his work, and came across the field to the path where he had left his coat and shoes. While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes; but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin.

Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his countenance. He gazed upon the coin, turned it round, and looked at it again and again. He then looked around him on all sides, but no person was to be seen. He now put the money into his pocket, and proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin.

His feelings overcame him; he fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving, in which he spoke of his wife, sick and helpless, and his children without bread, whom the timely bounty, from some unknown hand, would save from perishing.

The student stood there deeply affected, and his eyes filled with tears. "Now," said the professor, "are you not much better pleased than if you had played your intended trick?"

The youth replied, "You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget. I feel now the truth of those words, which I never understood before: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

Nasi Aking

But it's should start within us, me and you to do something about our beloved country, jadi kepikiran Program Penny Harvest-nya OPRAH neh, idenya ngumpulan uang kepingan terkecil (di US sono Penny kali) yg semua orang mo kaya mo miskin pasti bisa nyumbang trus dikelola untuk save the children, slogannya semacam One Penny save the world gitu lah. Kalo mo kita tiru bisa aja tuh idenya, kira-kira pecahan terkecil rupiah yg gak ngebebanin org brp ya seribu perak kali ya, jadi ntar kita bikin slogannya "1000 perak eh rupiah menyelamatkan banyak jiwa" atau kerennya " Rp 1000 can save one life"
Ada gak ya di MP yang punya jiwa pengggerak plus jujur plus punya kemapuan mengelola melakukan ide tsb. bayangkan kalo penduduk Indonesia ada +/- 200 jt jiwa, kalo 50 %nya aja yg nyumbang seribu perak kita dah dapat total Rp 100.000.000.000 (wow A big ammount isn't it? dan masing2 dr kita cm perlu keluarin duit 1000 perak), nah dari total ammount itu berapa %-nya dikelola, sisanya disumbangkan ke org yg perlu, bs berbunga kan, apalagi kalo metode pengumpulannnya 1 minggu sekali which mean setahun 52 kali, jd in total yg masuk 5.200.000.000.000 (gw gak tau neh cara bacanya lima ribu dua ratus milyard kali ya or 5.2 trilyun) for only 1000 perak a cost for each.
Ehm..just a thought...

SITUBONDO -  Akibat Paceklik.

Kepala Kantor Kesejahteraan Sosial Kab. (SURYA/st6)

MAKING CHOICES

By this artikel we learn a lesson here...a lesson about decisions: if I don't make

decisions myself, others will probably make them for me. Better that

I make them myself

Joseph Henry was an American scientist who served as the first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. He used to tell a rather strange story about his childhood. His grandmother, who raised him, once paid a cobbler to make him a pair of shoes.

The man measured his feet and told Joseph that he could choose between two styles: a rounded toe or a square toe. Little Joseph couldn't decide. It seemed to be such a huge decision; after all, they would become his only pair of shoes for a long time.

The cobbler allowed him to take a couple of days to make up his mind. Day after day, Joseph went into the shop, sometimes three or four times a day! Each time he looked over the cobbler's shoes and tried to decide. The round-toed shoes were more practical, but the square toes looked more fashionable. He continued to procrastinate. He wanted to make up his mind, but he just couldn't decide!

Finally, one day he went into the shop and the cobbler handed him a parcel wrapped in brown paper. His new shoes! He raced home. He tore off the wrapping and found a beautiful pair of leather shoes – one with a rounded toe and the other with a square toe.

I can learn a lesson here...a lesson about decisions: if I don't make decisions myself, others will probably make them for me. Better that I make them myself.

And if I choose poorly from time to time, that's okay, too. At least I won't have to wear shoes that don't match. Besides, I'll probably do better the next time.

LOOK WITHIN

People spent a life time
searching for happiness
looking for peace

They chase idle dreams, addictions
religions, even other people,
hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them

The irony is that the only place they ever needed to search
was within themselves

Jalan macet stress...jalan lancar bingung jg..

Lucu ya, kalo macet suka stress, giliran lancar kok malah bingung, hbs aneh aja. Ato mungkin byk org pindah naik busway or kereta ya? Might be...

Tp rasanya sih gak juga, Masalahnya kalo jam pulang kantor tetep macet lg, padat merayap, jd lancarnya kalo pas pagi doank, lebih enak gitu sih, jd nyampe kantor masih fresh gak kucel kecapean di jalan.

Mudah2an jalanan di Jakarta makin baik lah, makin lancar makin smooth biar gak bikin stress..

Lyric Lagu Iklan

Belakangan lagu ini sering bgt kedengaran pas lg iklan semen, gw yang dulunya gak gitu interest belakangan gak sadar jd suka nyanyiin tu lagu (versi aslinya lah ya bukan yg iklan semen). memang hebat deh yg namanya kekuatan media itu, mampu mempengaruni selera pasar, makany gw gak heran kalo praktisi pemerhati anak, selalu medengungkan bahaya televisi buat anak-anak, lah orang kita aja yang dah dewasa tanpa sadar suka latah terpengaruh, even bukan tertarik beli productnya dan cuma latah niruin iklannya.

Tapi balik lagi ke lagu iklan semen itu, kalo direnungin lagi, lyricnya sih memang sederhana bgt, diulang-ulang malah, tp maknanya daleeeeem booo....THE FUTURE NOT OURS TO SEE...
ehm gw setuju bgt deh, kalo kita berpikir seperti itu, pas setiap orang akan bisa menikmati setiap momment yang mereka alami, tanpa kawatir akan hari esok, kecuali kalo lo nya berprofesi sbg cenayang paranormah he..he...

here's the lyric
QUE SERA SERA

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother what will I be
Will I be pretty?
Will I be rich?
Here's what she said to me

Que sera sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera sera
What will be, will be

When I grew up and fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows day after day?
Here's what my sweetheart said

Que sera sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera sera
What will be, will be

Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother what will I be?
Will I be handsome?
Will I be rich?
I tell them tenderly

Que sera sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera sera
What will be, will be
Que sera sera

Btw arti que sera sera apaan sih???

BEFORE I WAS A MOM

Dedicated to my beloved one GABY (MARIA GABRIELL ANGELICA)

BEFORE I WAS A MOM

Author Unknown

Before I was a Mom - I made and ate hot meals.

I had unstained clothing.

I had quiet conversations on the phone.

Before I was a Mom - I slept as late as I wanted

and never worried about how late I got into bed.

I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom - I didn't worry whether or not my plants werepoisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on, wet on, spit on,

chewed on, or pinched by tiny fingers.

Before I was a Mom - I had complete control over my thoughts, my body,

my mind. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom - I never held down a screaming child so that

doctors could do tests, or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes

and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never

sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom - I never held a sleeping baby just because I

didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million

pieces when I could not stop the hurt. I never knew that something so

small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love

someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart

outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a

hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a Mother and her child. I

didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up every ten minutes, in the

middle of the night, to make sure that all was okay. I had never known

the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderfulness, or

the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of

feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

ANGELS

ANGELS

Author Unknown

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied..."Things aren't always what they seem".

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel "how could you have let this happen!? The first man had everything, yet you helped him," she accused. "The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let their cow die."

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave her the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes this is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later.

A Bucket of Money

Well, sine my multiple has a problem with connecting the server, today is blogspot day. i already write 3 articles this day on this site, even I love Mp away better than blogspot (hope the owner not read that...^_^)

I'd like to share story, which the point " don't judge the book by its cover...don't judge the person by their outfit"
A Bucket of Money

One fine evening a man walked into a fast-food chicken place and bought a nine-piece bucket of chicken. He took his chicken to the park for a romantic picnic under the moonlight with his lady.

Upon reaching into the bucket, however, he received a surprise. Instead of chicken he discovered what was apparently the restaurant's night deposit--nine thousand dollars. The young man brought the bucket back to the store and asked for his chicken in exchange for the money. The manager, in awe of the young man's honesty, asked for his name and told him he wanted to call the newspaper and the local news station to do a story on him. He would become a local hero, an example of honesty and morality that would inspire others!

The hungry man shrugged it off. "My date's waiting. I just want my chicken."

The manager's renewed amazement over the young man's humility almost overwhelmed him. He begged to be allowed to tell the story on the news. At this the honest man became angry with the manager and demanded his chicken.

"I don't get it," the manager responded. "You are an honest man in a dishonest world! This is a perfect opportunity to show the world that there are honest people still willing to take a stand for what is right. Please, give me your name and also the woman's name. Is that your wife?"

"That's the problem," said the young man. "My wife is at home. The woman in the car is my girlfriend. Now let me have my chicken so I can get out of here."

It's easy to look good to people who don't know you. Many of us do a good deed here and there, go to church, say the right words, and everyone thinks we're something that we're not. But God sees your heart. It really doesn't matter how much you do or what other people think of you. What matters is what's on the inside.

7 THINGS WE MUST REMEMBER

Here the most important 7 things to remember

1. TRUST

TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.

A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call. She answered, "Public Utilities Board." There was silence. She repeated, "PUB." There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she Heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB.Sorry, I got the number from my Husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is."

Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB"

2. NO POINTING FINGERS

A man asked his father-in-law, "Many people praised you for a successful marriage. Could you please share with me your secret?"

The father-in-law answered in a smile, "Never criticize your wife for her shortcomings or when she does something wrong. Always bear in mind that because of her shortcomings and weaknesses, she could not find a better husband than you."

We all look forward to being loved and respected. Many people are afraid of losing face. Generally, when a person makes a mistake, he would look around to find a scapegoat to point the finger at. This is the start of a war. We should always remember that when we point one finger at a person, the other four fingers are pointing at ourselves.

If we forgive the others, others will ignore our mistake too.

3. CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS?

A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested "I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." The SDU officer said, "Your requirements, please." "Oh, good looking, polite, humorous , sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to accompany me the whole day at home during my leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest." The officer listened carefully and replied, "I understand you need television."

There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband ,because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up and discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.

4. NO OVERPOWERING

Many relationships fail because one party tries to overpower another,or demands too much. People in love tend to think that love will conquer all and their spouses will change the bad habits after marriage. Actually, this is not the case. There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "It is easier to reshape a mountain or a river than a person's character."

It is not easy to change. Thus, having high expectation on changing the spouse character will cause disappointment and unpleasantness.

It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our expectations..

5. RIGHT SPEECH

There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "A speech will either prosper or ruin a nation." Many relationships break off because of wrong speech. When a couple is too close with each other,we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if it would hurt the other party.

A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted,"Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school." On the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, "Luckily you married me.Otherwise you will be the wife of a construction worker." She answered ,"You should appreciate that you married me. Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you."

Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship. It's like a broken egg - cannot be reversed.

6. PERSONAL PERCEPTION

Different people have different perception. One man's meat could be another man's poison. A couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way home,a boy commented, "Very stupid. Why neither of them ride on the donkey?"Upon hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the donkey. He walked besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, "The husband is the head of family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband is on foot?" Hearing this, the wife quickly got down and let the husband ride on the donkey.

Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can the man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman."

The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then, they met a young man. He commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up the weight of two persons. They are cruel to you." Hearing that, the husband and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on their shoulders.

It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkey was frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the river. You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone condemn you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the future.

Thus, do not be too bothered by others words if our conscience is clear..

7. BE PATIENT

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, " Daddy,I'm sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going to grow back?" The father went home & committedsuicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

Butterfly

wanna introduce my multiply actually, just click on http://itawidiastanti.multiply.com/
since I choose Butterfly background on my MP I wanna share a poem by a FRIEND, a quit short but deep thought

BUTTERFLY

I am a butterfly
Who flies around
In quick and broken streak
Without worries bound

Own sting not
Charm to spread
Render gladness
Bring no harms

What a succinct life I spare
Yet relish it’s to me
Take my bright colors
Bounce freely beside me

Just dance along
During my day
For some time left
We must parted soon

I am a butterfly

Different kind of Prayer

Sedikit lbh gak biasa seh, tp lbh practical and factual he..he...
jd next time kita ketemu org yang nyebelin bgt, cruel or untolerant, remember that maybe he face more difficulty, problems, struggles more than average people but less love.
So all we have to do is pray for them, and kalo gak mo terpancing ikut kesel jua ya EGP aja, hindarin boo...

A DIFFERENT KIND OF PRAYER

Author Unknown

Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in

traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day

and was rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the

laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young

man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college

student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of

not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the

same spot every day (who really ought to get a job)! is a slave to

addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow

through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are

savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got

back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping

together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give

us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love

with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not just to those who are

close to us but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judgment and quick

to forgiveness and patience and empathy and love.

AMEN

Today's Thorn

Pls see the beautiful pps file attached

Once...there was a man who asked God
for a flower...
and a butterfly

But instead God gave him a CACTUS...
and a CATERPILLAR...

The man was sad, he didn't understand why his request was mistaken
Then he thought
Oh well...God has too many people to care for
And decided not to questions

After some time, the man went to check up on his request that he had left forgotten
To his surprise...from the thorny ugly cactus a beautiful flower had grown
and the unsightly caterpillar had been transformed into the most beautiful butterfly.

God always does things right!
His way is ALWAYS the best way,
even if to us it seems all wrong.

If you asked God for the thing
& received another, TRUST...
you can be sure that HE will always give you what you need at the appropriate time.

What you want...is not always what you need.
God never fails to grant petitions,
so keep on going for HIM without doubtly or murmuring.

TODAY'S THORN...IS TOMORROW'S FLOWER.
